3T MRI image of a human head taken with a 3T MRI scanner, where the ‘T’ stands for tesla strength. 3T imaging increases the signal and as a result increases the image resolution, speed of imaging or both. This image shows a pituitary tumour as an enlarged mass in the brain of a 48 year-old female patient.
